Doodle dump...

I am LOVING my Prismacolors. :D

Oops... I drew him last week. Maybe I'll redraw him with my new markers. ;)

A drawing of a person drawing...

SIBLINGS. The guy's shirt is a joke between me and my own sister, Kievan. ;)

A random person. I've probably been watching too much NCIS. ;)

Now... MUST GO DRAW MORE. :D

Art and Photo Dump

Hey people!! Here's a very expansive dump of stuff... mostly pictures of me goofing off with makeup. :)
Be warned: I actually feature in all of these photos, excluding the drawings. XD

First... me with blue makeup. Not my best picture. :P

On to the next picture! I'll start by saying that I did this particular makeup job in the middle of summer. It was over a hundred degrees up where I was doing it, and I was HOT HOT HOT!!

Here's me again, wearing the "liney" makeup.

And again. I did the lighting better this time.

Close-up on the eye.

Me being serious again. D:

And finally me, wearing a creepy expression. I was very releived to finally be done with my photo-taking-ness.

And now, some drawings: here's my character Sylvia Peters dressing up as her friend Jake Thomson:

And there's Jake Thomson, who she was dressing up as. This is a kind of old drawing of him. XD

My character Phoebe talking to her friend/half-brother, Trent. (I didn't finish this one... grr multiple light sourses!)

My character Jillian North impersonating the Coca-Cola bear.

My characters (from left to right): Meredith Chandler, Malcolm Davies, Phoebe Adams (again), and Jillian North (again), this time wearing their fall attires. Thanks Aurelia for helping me color Mal! :)

Okay, back to photos...

My creepy hand numero uno. I did this during school last year because, let's face it, school can be boring. Afterwards, I had random people grabbing my hand and staring at it. XD

Creepy hand again.

HOMECOMING!! (I think.) Anyways, my friend Calvin invited me to a school dance and I had a lot of fun. I think I looked pretty good, too, considering the fact that that day I'd been working in our old house all day, and only one hour before it was time to leave, I had to take a shower and dig all my clothes out of boxes. I didn't even know what I was going to wear. :P

Oh, another picture. These were Calvin's pretty awesome friends. And me.

a poem

wooded hill
edged on all sides with
black iron fence
crumbling
gravestones recording
the lives and deaths
of men
one, from France
Germany
McCall, Ireland
here lies an ambassador
from Mississipi,
here, a baby
Camille
strange how old
this earth smells

Only 1 hour, 37 minutes....

I will very shortly be writing my novel. This means that at the current moment, I am panicing and gulping large amounts of apple juice. (we ran out of tea and milk.) I have come to the conclusion that I don't get out enough.

On the bright side, my looming novel-writing-dom has caused me to complete numorous frenzied novel-related stuff. Above is the cover for my novel, which is going to be a mystery set in Colonial Williamsburg. I had a tiny idea of what I intended the cover to look like, so I went ahead and made it, despite my woeful lack of a title.

Anyway, have fun and good luck this November! :D

Home Sweet Home

Well, folks, we're finally home! Beowulf and Poppy were really glad to see us, and we were so happy to see them too. We were also happy to see Silva the cat (who was entirely indifferent) and Malfoy the Chicken. (The other four chickens were picked up by the humane society... maybe I'll tell you more about that later.)

Anyway, the longest and most boring reunion was the one between me and the scanner. I had at least half a dozen pictures to scan, and it wasn't exactly exciting. Anyway, here are a few of the pictures I thought I'd upload now.

My little knight guy I draw everywhere, and Susan, my pink dragon. I did this as practice with my Prismacolor markers.... I love those things! I seem to be using them for backgrounds a lot.

And these are my strange twisty wingless gravity-defying reptilian creatures. I think they're dragons. I also drew them with my Prismas, and I think they turned out pretty much okay. :D

I drew this forever and a day ago, but never scanned it. It's the design for my version of the beast from "Beauty and the Beast". In my version, the beast is named Charlie. But enough on that.

I redrew my character Jillian, and she turned out a lot better this time around, I think. I've improved a lot!

And finally, a nice purple dog thing. I was bored and my Prismacolors were just sitting there, so I happily colored a random creature with them.

Well, this is it.

Adiós, amigos. Adieu, les gens! Wir sprechen uns später!
This, my friends, is how I say goodbye. When I have access to Google Translate.

I'm off to my Grandparents tomorrow! I'm gonna miss you all, because I probably won't be able to use a properly functioning computer. ;)

On that happy note, here's my Easter picture! Sorry for the incredible lateness. Anyways, these are the characters Jake and Zevi Thomson, owned by my sister and me. I guess they've changed out of their Easter Sunday outfits and are now hanging out with bunnies and chocolate and their mother's peafowl.

So, goodbye!

The many faces of my imagination

Catchy title, huh?

Anyways, I finally compiled all my scanned faces into one picture. It makes them a lot easier to post, let me tell you. ;)

BRAINS.

Kievan and I were having one of our, "I didn't know that about you!" conversations, and we realized that I have a character who is a cyborg (see above ;D), and she has a character who is sort of a half-zombie. So naturally we spent the rest of the day with her following me, arms outstretched, mumbling, "brrrraaaaiiinnnnssss....." and I would pretend to zap her with my awesome cyborg laser gun. It's been..... interesting.

Also, THE KIDS ARE COMING HOME!!! My wonderful amazing magnificent adorable very noisy and slightly annoying but nevertheless perfect siblings ARE GONNA BE HERE ANY SECOND!!! WOOT!

Well...

Luckily for me (and, admittedly, my dog; who for some reason always gets depressed and sleeps in the closet when I get mad) I'm in a much much better mood... which can probably be attributed to the fact that my drawing ability has returned, and also the fact that my mother went shopping so I can actually EAT.

Anyways, the picture above is just a random doodle of Valentina and Hazel the Wolves... poor Hazel is always getting dragged around by his over-zealous friends. If Val REALLY wants Hazel to come to the candy shoppe, she should probably just ask.

Artist

Lately I've been somewhat artistically challenged. I's not that I can't draw... I just can't think of anything TO draw. It's unbelievably frustrating, and I'm feeling sort of upset and moody because of it. (and the fact that there's absolutely positively no food in the entire house.)

To try to get rid of at least a little boredom, I drew this picture using DeviantART's dA Muro which is really a very useful tool. Sadly, I'm still pretty frustrated... but I like the way that the artist in my picture turned out. Sadly, you can't resize stuff on dA Muro, and I didn't know what I was drawing until it was too late, so my artist has her painting arm cut off.

Anyways, hopefully I will be getting my creativity back very very soon, but somehow I kinda doubt it. **sighs**

More doodles...

Well, I'm afraid I'm stuck on "insane, about to die 'cause of all the winteryness" mode, so I read the 4rth "39 Clues" book and doodled a lot. Here's a select few of my doodles... the rest have yet to be finished and scanned. :D

This one was drawn for my friend Greta, whom I've mentioned multiple times. It's her character Selena, who's really into astronomy. Greta really really liked my other ink picture (as did everybody else on my Facebook Page... go figure) so I did more black and white.

And here's another person of mine.... she's a minor character in one of my stories. She's named Eleven Conway (Yup, like the number) and she's deaf. She's one of my favorite characters, just because she's so.... colorful. Seriously, the scanner dulled the actual colorfulness. ;)

Also, I've been working very hard on my story. I re-wrote prologue, part two, for the fourth time, officially making it the most edited thing I've ever written. ;)

Fish-Bird

My art teacher is having yet another Facebook art contest, and this time we were supposed to draw a creature made up of a bird and a fish. Unfortunately, fish and birds are my two least favorite things to draw, but I actually had fun anyway. This is my fish-bird, he's a (very happy) blue jay/spearfish mix. The pictures below are the ones I used to help draw it. :D

Happy... well, just plain ol' happy day. ^^

Interesting thing I learned about myself? I like to draw Valentine's Day scenes. Which explains this slightly random winter scene that I drew... I call it "Happy Valentin Day"... which is actually a very bad pun on the guy's name, which happens to be "Valentin", which happens to be one small letter away from the name "Valentine".

ANYWAYS have a happy un-valentine's day, and check up on New Dress a Day lady HERE..... even though her year of dress making is done, she's still doing some pretty awesome clothes remodeling. :)

Happy belated Valentines Day!

Well, I just now finally finished my "Happy Valentine's Day" picture! Soooo.... happy valentine's day, people! I'm glad I at least remembered to say it before the end of February. ^^

My latest.... er......

well, obsession.

"Obsession"..... featuring the wolf J.J. who, yes, would probably be addicted to a computer if he had one. :)

Jay Bonz... the bad guy. He likes to destroy stuff, and carries a mace everywhere he goes.

and Redmoon, the farmer. (I think his wife probably put his chess settings on easy, actually.)

I'm doing some more. **nods** It was hilarious when my parents saw them, they laughed so hard. :)

More Felix and Leo

Well, if you remember my "Felix and Leo" post a few weeks ago (link HERE) You'll probably recognize this drawing:

Well, the other day I was infinitely bored, and this is what happened:

i may finish the shading, and their legs and everything some time, but for now, I'm all worn out. ;)

Toucan Gryphs!!

This picture has taken me forever. Now that i finally finished the background, I'm about to die of ecstasy. Happy dance!

Artist Trading Cards?

Well, apparently there's something called "Artist Trading Cards". Artists draw their cards and trade them. One guy described it as being a little like a mixture of art, baseball cards, and business advertising. Anyway, I wanted to see if I could draw on a card that small (2 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches) and this is what I made:

The black and white isn't completely alone in my gallery... I think being confined to bed with a fever has had a very black-and-white effect on me. Here's another picture I drew in only those two colors:

People!!

Lately, I've just been drawing a lot of random people. Here are a few of them..... I still haven't scanned all of them yet. :)

More abstract art!

I had a fever when I drew this.....so..... anyway....

It's an abstract piece about one of my mind-reading characters. :)
