Deer in the Woods II

Large Blue Horses

This artist did one of my favorite paintings of all time: Large Blue horses. Another painting of his that I like is Deer in the Woods II. He always chooses cool colors, all of it is so bright!

Google Translator

I've been having a lot of fun with Google Translate recently. It can translate just about anything I throw at it, so I've been doing rather interesting things, like translating the Hail Mary into French, for example.

Another thing I did: I was writing a story with dragons, so used a weird language for Dragonish, the dragon language :)

Another Poem....

"I'll tell you how the leaves came down,"
The great tree to his children said,
"You're getting sleepy, Yellow and Brown,
Yes, very sleepy, little Red.
It is quite time to go to bed."

"Ah!" begged each silly, pouting leaf,
"Let us a little longer stay;
Dear Father Tree, behold our grief;
Tis such a very pleasant day
We do not want to go away."

So, for just one more merry day
To the great tree the leaflets clung,
Frolicked and danced, and had their way,
Upon the autumn breezes swung,
Whispering all their sports among,--

"Perhaps the great tree will forget,
And let us stay until the spring,
If we all beg, and coax, and fret."
But the great tree did no such thing;
He smiled to hear their whispering.

"Come, children, all to bed," he cried;
And ere the leaves could urge their prayer,
He shook his head, and far and wide,
Fluttering and rustling everywhere,
Down sped the leaflets through the air.

I saw them; on the ground they lay,
Golden and red, a huddled swarm,
Waiting till one from far away,
White bedclothes heaped upon her arm,
Should come to wrap them safe and warm.

The great bare tree looked down and smiled,
"Good-night, dear little leaves," he said.
And from below each sleepy child
Replied, "Good-night," and murmured,
"It is so nice to go to bed!"

Trick Question

A Poem

She licks her chops,
Silently she goes and stops.
Carefully she stalks her prey,
Quietly she walks it's way,
With a yowl she leaps
As she grabs, it squeaks.
She has caught the rubber mouse,
She must be leader of the house.
Proudly she walks away,
With the air that she has saved the day.

By ME!
Thank you, thank you. (I bow deeply)

Some of my drawings... horses...

This one is Kievan's horse in a game we play. She was dubbed "Athena"......

This horse is my favorite, but I think it's funny how the horse looks like it has highlights. :)

This horse is the drawing of my horse in the game that "Athena" came from.... only his name was "Zeus." Can you tell what the theme was?

This horse is another of my favorites, because I love her mane and tail.

Some movies of the year

New Movies: My Family's Favorites
How to Train Your Dragon: I loved the animation on this movie... and the characters were done amazingly well. The facial expressions were great too... they were so realistic and sometimes quite hilarious, and they helped move story along well too. The story was also great, it was very believable and there wasn't a single dull part.

Avatar: Amazing animation... everything looks so real and, well, alien. The story is pretty good, although it has a lot to do with "Mother Nature" and stuff. All the actors were really great, and the villain was absolutely horrible.

The Family Movie Awards: Most Watched Movies of Sep. 09- Apr. 10

The Incredibles: Action-packed and an amazingly good plotline, The Incredibles is one of my family's favorite movies. The characters, animation, plot, and especially the plots-within-a-plot were exceptionally good, and the script really kept everything moving well. Very fun, and a good movie for all ages.

An Anna Claire-Nominated Movie
Finding Nemo: As my Father pointed out: "It's incredible hard to make people relate to a fish, but somehow Finding Nemo does it." It is very cute and funny, and it really makes you care about the characters.

An Anna Claire-Nominated Movie
The Lion King: The songs and characters are really nice, and the plot is very good.... and (Random fact of the day!!) it was based off one of Shakespeare's plays. The lions move like lions, which is a fact I really enjoy. I especially love the scene where Mufasa's spirit talks to Simba, telling him he must remember who he is.

*Sorry for lack of picture*
Shrek: The story is great, and the cast was AWESOME! This is a great movie, but the sequels really ruined it. Not the greatest of animation, in my opinion, but the characters really made the movie flow.
